About

Hey, I’m Jonathan Zaldivar

Welcome to Network ThinkTank – a blog built by a network professional, for network professionals and aspiring IT enthusiasts. I created this site to share real-world knowledge, hands-on tutorials, and practical tools that I’ve developed over the course of my career.

My Background

I bring 20+ years of experience in IT and networking to everything I write. I’m currently a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician at Lumen Technologies, a role I’ve held since February 2017. Day in and day out, I monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain large-scale network infrastructure – and that hands-on experience directly fuels the content you’ll find here.

Certifications

I’ve earned both the CCNA and CCNA Cyber Ops certifications from Cisco. While both expired in July 2023, the knowledge and discipline I gained from pursuing them continue to shape my approach to networking, security, and automation.

Thanks for stopping by – and welcome to the Network ThinkTank community.
